I got a late phone call the other evening. My friend shouts hello, seems stressed and then her voice gets almost hysterical: but, but, what should I pack? Maybe girls are a bit more nervous then guys about their vacation-luggage?
I know I have been going through my wardrobe in my head a few times already (perfect when it’s hard to sleep). And I have been wandering through Parisian stores, telling my boyfriend:
- Oh this is a perfect sailing outfit!
- Oh this is a perfect sailing outfit!
- AND this is a perfect sailing outfit!
Last year on my first Yacht Week, I had no idea what to bring and actually, it worked out fine. I mean it really doesn’t matter what outfits people have because everybody looks great when they are tanned.
Although I am really looking forward to see the guys in a Preppy sailing style! I like.
Preppy guy!
If you are concerned anyway, and get brain freezes standing there in front of your wardrobe with an empty bag… please read the list below.
So this is what you can not forget to bring:
- swimming clothes (bikini etc)
- shorts
- jeans or long pants
- T-shirts
- camera
- passport and money (Croatian currency)
- a warm jacket and rainwear
- sunscreen
- sunglasses
- cash for transfer and for comfort package
- I-pod to plug into the boat
And remember:
- Pack your stuff in a soft bag (its is easier to storage onboard)
- You can not bring too much luggage onboard so it is, in that sense, important to have the right things with you.
- Don’t forget the warm clothes!
- There are towels and sheets onboard, but bring a towel extra for the beach
- We will sell our Yacht Week collection to a very good price
An American Apparel bag is perfect for sailing
Very important: The skipper need to bring all the original versions of his/hers nautical education, you will not be allowed to leave the harbour otherwise.
See you soon!
