Some guests use the kitty to pay for fresh provisioning and all sorts of random food/snacks etc for the yacht. 
In this calculator, we estimate the cost to range from €200 to €400 per week.

Fresh Provisioning

Based on our data, fuel costs can fluctuate significantly; the same yacht might use twice as much fuel one week compared to another.
Why? Good wind conditions mean more sailing and less engine use. On the other hand, having air conditioning (A/C) running 24/7, especially without shore power, will increase fuel consumption.

How can I reduce fuel costs?​ 1. Sail as much as possible. 2. Limit A/C use to nighttime​ 3. Use A/C only when connected to shore power, as this doesn’t consume fuel

Fuel

Ice bags are usually purchased using the kitty money.
Some guests prefer a lot of ice, while others use very little.
In this calculator, we estimate the cost of ice to range from €30 to €60 per person per week, depending on usage.

Mooring Costs Explained
Mooring fees in most harbors are calculated based on the size of the yacht, specifically its length (measured in meters) and sometimes also its beam (width).

As a general rule: 1. Longer yachts = higher cost. 2. Wider yachts (e.g., catamarans) = even higher cost, sometimes up to 1.5x the price of a monohull of the same length

Mooring fees can also vary by location, time of year, and whether you’re using premium facilities like power, water, or access to showers and Wi-Fi.

You are responsible for providing food and drinks for your skipper and host.
However, if you book a Cabin Booking on a Classic Catamaran, Premium Monohull, or Premium Catamaran, these costs are already included in the price.

Staff Meals

Depending on destination, it is included in the mooring fee.

Water Tank Refill

Needed for transport to and from Yacht Week events when moored away from the dock.
