BASICS ABOUT GETTING THERE:

  1. There are no direct flights to Tortola from EU or the US.
  2. Fly to any other Island in the Carribean and you can get to the BVI easy by plane or boat. (San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), St. Thomas (STT), St. Croix (STX), St. Martin/St. Maartin (SXM) or San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU), Antigua (ANU)
  3. We have found the best flight prices from Europe to Puerto Rico + good connection with boat and small airplane. US citizens are best of flying directly to St. Thomas which is very close and a 45min boat ride to the BVI.

We suggest that you stay on Tortola or go directly to Puerto Rico and spend a few days before heading home.
Flying from Europe there are basically 3 alternatives to get there:

        If you fly in to St. Thomas (USVI) then a short ferry ride is needed to get to Tortola. St Thomas is very close and the ferry to Road Town, Tortola, goes on a regular basis, takes 45 minutes.
