It s been 48 hours I’m back in my apartment, in Lille in France.
Strange feeling.
No noise at night, no sound system to set up in less than 5 minutes, no CDs to burn everyday, no jump contest, no Karlowacko, no more sun 24/7 and nobody to share a cabin with (Jeg elsker a seile) …yes, strange feeling!
This summer has been crazy, even the way back to France ! It was fun to discover the airport of Split on saturday morning, at 6, full of Yacht Weekers, still in a very good mood – I would love to know the turnover of the small bar at the first floor this day…
I don’t know how many people I met those last 5 weeks. From the crazy spanish week 30 to the american girls in the plane on my way back 2 days ago.
I also don’t know how many languages I’ve been speaking ! Especially at night !
I can’t name everybody I had a good time with (the list is too long!) but I would like to thank ALL OF YOU for an AMAZING spirit every week.
A lot of people asked me how I do to manage 5 weeks of parties. The answer is pretty simple : you gave me so much energy ! (Especially every wednesday in Hvar)
…And maybe also because of the Redbull
I also would like to thank everybody I shared the crew boat with. No exception. Everybody added his own “touch”.
A lot of respect to Emma & Fortuna, the girls from behind to every guest DJ and to the staff of every venue we rocked. All together they made every party possible, even when we were banned from an harbour ! And of course the same respect for William, Erik and Johan that have been managing this season as good as possible, considering the incredible number of hysteric people we had as customers !!! – Should I also speak about the skippers…?
In my opinion The Yacht Week stays the best way to spend summer holidays. Sailing during the day, partying at night, smiling every time.
Stay tuned because a looot of events will be organized this year, before and after our trip in the Caribbean in december.
It has been a real (and intense) pleasure to play music for you this summer,
Lots of love from a little village in the North of France
Pierre
