Originally from Germany, Jan has been living and working in many different countries such as Spain, Mexico, US, and now lastly in London, UK. Having grown up in a family of artists, he was involved in photography at a very young age.
Jan views the art of photography as a subtractive process, thereby distilling reality into a personal vision. As such he often uses the tools of photography – lightening, filters, digital enhancement – to try to capture in an image the emotions he felt at the moment the camera’s shutter was tripped. Although he has a passion for all photography his focus lies in commercial, event, and fashion photography. Jan is fluent in German, English, Spanish and holds an MBA from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
