All participants who pass the Academy will be offered the World’s Best Summer!
This year we require all new skippers to join the Academy. The main goal with academy is to assemble a strong team of skippers that know each other and will work together for 11 weeks during the summer. You will get to know TYW route, the harbours and of course improve your boat handling skills on 40-55ft yachts!

General Content of the Academy:
- 30% Get to know TYW, the harbours and your fellow skippers
- 30% Maneuvering and mooring practice with engine/anchor
- 20% Sailing in sheltered and open waters. Usual weather conditions in Croatia
- 10% Technical yacht knowledge (electronics, mechanical and engine)
- 10% The skipper role, How to handle your crew and safety on board
Requirements to apply:
- Theoretical nautical education to sail as a skipper in Croatia or Greece – Find out more here.
- VHF certificate valid in Croatia
- To be an experienced sailor (yachts of any size)
- Born 1992 or earlier
- Spoken English
