Sailing is our passion. The Yacht Week is a concept made by sailors, for sailors. We are very happy to welcome you the team of Skippers! Before you apply you need to decide if you want to sail for pure pleasure (in Italy) or professionally with a salary in Greece / Croatia / BVI.
The main difference is that the professional skippers will be more carefully selected, primarily from the Academy, and have more general responsibility for the yacht and event. IF you are out for 1-2 weeks of fun sailing it’s still OK to join in Croatia / Greece but it will be harder to get a yacht assigned.
The Process:
- 1. Register as a skipper and apply for the Skipper Academy
- 2. Update your availability on the website for the weeks you want to join
- 3. We will contact you for an interview and confirm if you’re accepted for the Academy
- 4. After the Academy we will confirm your weeks
- 5. Book your flights!
- 6. See you on the dock in the Mediterranean!
Our priorities when selecting the skippers:
- 1. Skippers from the Skipper Academy.
- 2. Skippers with previous TYW experience.
- 3. New Skippers applying.
Why? We need to make sure that all skippers are competent on the yacht and with people. Hard to tell from a paper/mail…
If you want to increase you chanses of getting the job, make sure to make yourself available to work at least 6 weeks!
