Keep the yacht clean inside! (A messy boat is a security risk, every morning before sailing the yacht needs to be cleaned.)
Provide the skipper with 3 real meals per day! (Even if you are not hungry the skipper needs real food! Previous years some skippers have survived on pasta/ketchup and/or sandwiches for a whole weeks. That's not OK, we are humans after all and deserve some proper food.) Respect the skippers advice since he/she is actually the boss on the boat. The pro skipper is working and is an employee on the boat. The external skipper has signed up to a lot of responsibility and help for your crew with no payment at all. Please respect the fact that the skipper is in charge on board. |
