How many years have been a host on TYW? I started with TYW in spring of 2016!

Who or what inspired your passion for cooking? Growing up, my family involved me in cooking at a young age and then travelling around Italy really inspired my passion.

What is your favourite cocktail? I love jalapeño margaritas because I love spicy things and tequila! It’s fun to infuse your own tequila with jalapeño to make your own.

Which song always transports you back to summer? This Girl by Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners is the ultimate TYW summer song. Everyone goes crazy and has fun dancing when it comes on!

What is your favourite dish to make on TYW? Besides my lasagna, I love my pan friend fresh gnocchi with roasted red peppers, onions, garlic, spinach, and chorizo. All guests love it and it’s really fun to make.

Where is your dream travel destination? Working as a host on The Yacht Week, I get paid to travel the world, and in the last 5 years I’ve seen more of the world then I could ever dream of. I even checked Asia off my list when I joined a bunch of skippers and hosts at a villa in Bali. I would say my top favourite places in the world that I’ve been to are the British Virgin Islands for sailing and beaches and the Amalfi Coast in Italy for its amazing views and food. My dream travel destination I haven’t been to yet is Bora Bora.

Which country has your favourite cuisine? I love Italy. I studied abroad there during university and love the fresh local ingredients that go into their cuisine. Pasta, pizza and gelato with amazing Amalfi views? Yes please!

Any favourite moments from TYW? There are way too many favourite moments to count! Here's to having the best job ever. To every crew and staff member that danced their heart out to Peanut Butter Jelly with me because they know it's my favourite. To every Hvar night at Kiva Bar, jumping up and down in the staff corner like a sardine can and loving every minute of it. To lunches at Laganini, looking out at that crystal clear turquoise water. To becoming friends with crews from all over the world. To all the scooter and ATV rides from Love Bay that ended with watching the sunset at the clock tower in Poros. To dressing up in costumes and making dance routines for the regatta, with a backdrop of gorgeous Croatian mountains and a sea of 50 other TYW boats around having the most fun ever. And, last but not least, to the staff dinghy meetings in Starigrad that turn into soundbox dance parties with your staff family, which you never want to end because it’s nothing like the real world.

How many years have been a host on TYW? I have had the pleasure of being a host for TYW for four full years now! It’s still so crazy to even think that so many seasons have gone by, but I wouldn’t trade anything in the world for this opportunity. When people tell you it’s nothing like the real world, they mean it. The people and experiences are what keep me so addicted and excited to come back year after year.

Which song always transports you back to summer? This is probably one of my fave questions! Aside from the close global relationships and people I’ve met through The Yacht Week, one of my favourite aspects of this world is the incredible music we get to jam to at each event. Being from Texas, we don’t exactly have a great variety of music when we go out, so when I get to spend my summers in Europe, dancing with my friends to fire beats by TYW Djs, I mean there’s just truly nothing like it... it’s magical. Some top songs that bring back alllll the TYW nostalgia for me would be: This Girl by Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners - such a TYW classic from my first summer; Losing It by Fisher - or any Fisher song ever really; Sun Is Shining by Axwell & IngrossoRed Light Green Light by Duke Dumont. The list goes on and on. If it’s a banger, it brings me back to The Yacht Week.

Where is your dream travel destination? I know it sounds stereotypical but probably Tahiti or Bora Bora. I am enthralled with all things tropical, so if I could wake up in one of those beautiful huts that hover over the turquoise waters - AH, I would be so beyond ecstatic.

Which country has your favourite cuisine? Bali is an incredible destination for food. I find Indonesian food generally to be great, but specifically in Bali, there are a plethora of all kinds of different foods to choose from. If you want Thai-inspired cuisine, westernized food, fresh sushi, they have it all and for an amazing price! We were so pleasantly surprised by the prices and quality of food when we visited Bali. Not only is it very affordable and delicious, but most of the time it is very healthy. They also have endless vegan options that taste fantastic. 10/ 10 recommend Bali for its food.

Any favourite moments from TYW? This is such a loaded question! If I were to name all of my fave moments I would need to write a novel. Enjoying each day with my host and skipper best friends. Dancing until sunrise at Carpe Diem Beach (my fave place in all of Croatia). Seeing my first ever shooting star while lying on the nets of a catamaran with my love, Joosty (we met on TYW). Experiencing all new cultures and walks of life. Splashing around in the circle rafts to great music, fully enjoying life on the water, outdoor showers, regatta days... the list is endless. Which is why I can’t stop coming back.

How many years have been a host on TYW? Three years, now going into my fourth. Not sure if I can ever see myself stopping.

Who or what inspired your passion for cooking? My mum. She began to teach me to cook from a young age but sadly passed away when I was a teenager. So I made it my goal to carry on learning! It has taken me so many places I never even dreamed of.

What is your favourite cocktail? An espresso martini. It's the perfect dessert and gives me the energy to dance all night long.

Which song always transports you back to summer? Body by Loud Luxury feat. Brando. Such a feel-good song and a true TYW anthem.

Where is your dream travel destination? The Galapagos! I'm an ocean and shark fanatic and that place comes in on top of everywhere for that. I hope I can get there soon before it's slowly destroyed like the rest of this beautiful planet.

Which country has your favourite cuisine? Mexico every time! I love spice and all the different variations, fresh vegetables and herbs. I also just love the country overall - they have a great culture that made me feel excited yet relaxed all at once.

Any favourite moments from TYW? This is far too hard to answer. I honestly don't know if there are any unmemorable moments on TYW. Every day (and evening), when I am at the TYW events, dancing under the stars with some of my best friends on the planet along with a whole bunch of new friends I've only just made, and you look around and see everyone smiling ear to ear to a song that reminds us of the past years... that moment every single day, I think to myself - how did I get so lucky?

How many years have been a host on TYW? Coming up to year two!

Who or what inspired your passion for cooking? I was brought up with amazing home cooking from both my mum and dad, which gave me a taste for good food from a young age. So I’ve always enjoyed cooking for others.

What is your favourite cocktail? You can’t go wrong with the classic espresso martini - but if we’re being specific, I have a guilty pleasure: a pistachio and lime martini...

Which song always transports you back to summer? Nevermind by Dennis Lloyd reminds me of my first sailing holiday but anything with reggae vibes takes me back to summer every time.

What's your favourite dish to make on TYW? A well-prepped curry night never disappoints!

Where is your dream travel destination? Next on the list is Sri Lanka but from all the places I’ve been so far, Cape Town has 100% been my favourite.

Which country has your favourite cuisine? I love Asian cuisine - sushi, ramen, anything with coconut and bao buns... lots of bao buns.

Any favourite moments from TYW? I can’t pinpoint one particular moment. It’s all so much fun, from host meetings to pre-drinks with your crew.
