What are my options if I (or one of my crew) are unable to attend The Yacht Week due to contracting COVID?
  • We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance which provides coverage for the cost of your trip in the event you are unable to attend due to contracting COVID. If you or someone in your crew contracts COVID before the event and are unable to attend The Yacht Week, you will not be entitled to a refund.
  • Travel insurance covering COVID disruption is widely available and affordable. Speak to our Customer Service team if you need recommendations for what is required in your policy.
What happens if I test positive during The Yacht Week?
  • If you test positive during your trip you will be required to isolate yourself from the rest of the crew and leave your yacht at the earliest opportunity. This will mean the end of your The Yacht Week trip. You will then need to follow the procedures that are in place for positive cases in the destination country.
  • The rest of the crew will be required to take a Rapid COVID-19 test. If any crew member tests positive then they will also be required to leave the yacht. Crew members testing negative will be permitted to continue.
What happens if someone from my crew tests positive during The Yacht Week?
  • If someone from your crew tests positive, all crew members will be required to take a Rapid COVID-19 test. If any other crew member tests positive then they will also be required to leave the yacht. Crew members testing negative will be permitted to continue.
What happens if my skipper or host tests positive before The Yacht Week?
  • If your skipper or host test positive before your trip (and therefore must enter an isolation period) we will do our best to provide a replacement from our pool of standby staff.
  • If we are unable to replace your skipper then we will offer a full refund for your trip as you will not be able to sail.
  • If we are unable to provide a replacement host, then your crew will be refunded for your host and will be able to continue the trip but without a host on board.
What happens if my skipper or host test positive for COVID during my trip?
  • Your skipper or host will isolate on the yacht and leave at the earliest opportunity. Whilst a replacement will then be sourced, the rest of the crew will be required to take a Rapid COVID-19 test. If any crew member tests positive then they will also be required to leave the yacht. Crew members testing negative will be permitted to continue.
  • If we are unable to find a replacement skipper then your yacht will be returned to the base marina and your crew will be refunded for the remaining days of the trip.
  • If we are unable to find a replacement host, then your crew will continue the trip without a host and a refund on the host cost will be processed for the days spent without a host.
  • Any significant time lost from the itinerary due to a skipper or hosting testing positive will be refunded.
Will I be tested for COVID at The Yacht Week check-in?
  • As it stands we are planning to test all guests with a Rapid Antigen test at check-in. This policy may be reviewed depending on the COVID situation.
  • If you test positive at this point you will be offered the opportunity to take a PCR test at your cost. If negative you can join, if positive you will not be able to attend The Yacht Week and you will not be eligible for a refund.
Is it possible to purchase departure tests for onward flights on The Yacht Week?
  • In Greece and Croatia, departure testing will be offered for onward flights. These will be available to book 4 weeks prior to your trip via your The Yacht Week booking page.
  • We are unable to guarantee testing within 24 hrs of departure. For those requiring tests within 24 hrs we will recommend local testing facilities.
Do I need to be vaccinated to attend The Yacht Week?
  • We strongly recommend all guests are fully vaccinated with current booster vaccinations. Unvaccinated guests may not be permitted entry into the destination country. As well as being prohibited entry into bars and restaurants in accordance with local laws.
  • Unvaccinated guests may be permitted to attend The Yacht Week if they can demonstrate they have followed the strict quarantine rules applicable in the destination country and attend The Yacht Week within 24 hrs of completing quarantine. You will also be required to show a negative PCR test within 24 hrs of arrival at check-in. You will then need to test negative on a Rapid Antigen test.
  • Fraudulent tests or vaccination certificates will not be accepted. Guests who submit these will be prevented from attending the events and not offered a refund.
What happens if The Yacht Week needs to cancel due to COVID restrictions
  • If we are unable to run our The Yacht Week event, we will let you know at the earliest possible point. You will be given the option to rebook your trip for an alternative date or destination (subject to availability), receive a credit to use towards another trip in the future or receive a full refund.
  • Changes to the planned itinerary may be necessary to comply with any local restrictions. These will be communicated to you in advance of your trip.
