Country Manager

The Role

The Yacht Week is looking for strong candidates who have the ability to identify and then target the up and coming trend setters within their country. They should attract both experienced and inexperienced sailors to The Yacht Week, using strategic marketing methods such as event management, sponsorship, social media, partnerships and press as well as building a team of Brand Ambassadors to promote The Yacht Week to increase brand awareness and in turn encourage bookings.

Work Environment

The role is truly a case of what you put in, you will get out. We expect you to work a minimum of 10 hours per week in your local country/market and keep in regular communication with the Head of Marketing.

Salary

You will earn commission based on yacht sales in your market. This is paid annually.

Are you a rising music video producer star? Let us know... we are currently looking for a talented individual to edit and/or shoot and produce our upcoming trailer content.

We are expecting a trailer equivalent to a Hollywood produced action blockbuster or music video. Our Official Trailer has over 2.5 million views on YouTube. It is critical to have a touch and feel for rhythmical visuals. We only have 90 seconds to reflect the experience and convince the viewer. We promise a great adventure, exciting scenes and a great time.

Customer Sales Intern

Overview

The Yachts and Friends Team is looking for an eager and talented Customer Sales Team member with previous experience in sales to join our dynamic and fun team! This position will primarily focus on effectively communicating with Yachts and Friends potential clients while providing and retaining the highest level of professional standards in order to conduct sales and customer’s satisfaction. The Yachts and Friends team prides itself in offering our clients the utmost level of customer service at any stage of a booking process, always able and willing to go above and beyond expectations to fully satisfy client’s needs and wants. Yachts and Friends' main objective is to create online hassle free booking and sailing experience.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in a Customer Service role and previous sales experience will be an asset.
  • The candidate must show a high level of enthusiasm and be a strong team player
  • Have sufficient knowledge and previous experience with all Microsoft Office platforms
  • Must retain a high degree of professionalism while under pressure
  • Have a strong ability to multitask and be able to complete tasks assigned on time while meeting Yachts and Friends satisfactory standards.
  • Show initiative by taking the lead to ensure all Clients are satisfied and expectations have been exceeded.
  • Must be comfortable communicating with current and potential Clients through email and telephone.

The Role

  • Effectively communicating pre-booking information to all Clients including route planning and itineraries.
  • Negotiating and arranging customers sailing holiday’s by ensuring all necessary arrangements have been made to provide the sailing journey of their dreams.
  • Participates and provides expertise as a member of the customer service’s departmental team. The team's objectives are develop and recommend changes to existing methods and systems to increase the accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness of the customer service department as a whole.
  • Ensures and provides quality service to both internal and external customers and partners.
  • Meet Yachts and Friends planned sales objective for 2013-2014.

  • Qualifications

    Successful Candidates will have a university in Hospitality and/or Business Tourism.

    Work environment

    The internship will start immediately as soon as the successful candidate is identified. You will be based in the Yachts and Friends Head office in London and will be required to work Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

    Salary

    This is a 3 month internship and will run to the beginning of September. Traveling and food expenses up to £300 per month will be provided to you as remuneration.

    Customer Service Intern

    Overview

    The Yachts and Friends Team is looking for a dynamic and professional Customer Service Intern to join our fun and outgoing team. Yachts and Friends primary goal and focus is ensuring and providing effective, professional, and satisfactory customer service to exceed all guest expectations.

    Requirements

    • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years work experience in a similar Customer Service role.
    • Sufficient knowledge and experience in all Microsoft Office platforms including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Power point.
    • Must show excellent verbal and written communication skills that will directly reflect the high level of customer service of Yachts and Friends.
    • The candidate must be approachable, helpful, and self motivated always willing to go above and beyond of the expectations of both the employer and customers.
    • Must have exceptional organization skills and be able to multitask in a fast paced environment.
    • The ability to make appropriate decisions on your own without supervision.

    The Role

    • Assist the sales team in implementing and maintaining the standard operating procedures throughout the department.
    • Respond both timely and proactively to all guests’ inquiries using effective communication skills to make sure the correct action has been taken and all customers’ expectations have been met.
    • Assist with route planning and building itineraries for all guests sailing holidays, ensuring their trip is seamless.
    • Assisting with the standardization of system functions allowing everything to run smoothly.
    • Preparing Client’s pre arrival information and following up on Clients at their check in and check out.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have a minimum of a university degree in hospitality and/or business tourism.
