Just as some might encourage you to take the road less-traveled, Helen from our Customer Services and Events team would advise "don't sail the same route twice".

She ventured out to Southern Croatia on our recce to help with the plotting and planning of our new route.

Here are her 5 top reasons to sail Dubrovnik:

1. One-way means more to explore

Dubrovnik Route is the only one-way route we offer. With a one-way route, you don't sail back to the same marina you departed from, meaning there's no sea you'll sail twice! Besides getting your daily dose of natural beauty and adventurous activities, you will also have the opportunity to explore the top two cities in Croatia- Dubrovnik and Split, on this route. As well as the quaint old towns of Korcula and Trogir.

Dubrovnik Old Town is definitely one for the bucket list. We recommend arriving a day early and getting lost down the tiny winding back streets. Don't miss the chance to climb the city walls which offer an incredible bird's eye view of both the city and the Adriatic. In just a couple of hours you can circle the whole of Old Town!

Korcula may not be as infamous as Dubrovnik, but it certainly has the same charm! Venture to your heart's content and enjoy an ice cold pivo at one of the many street bars.

2. Go off the tourist track

You'll be getting an authentic experience of the best of Croatia- we're talking in terms of its natural beauty, sensational food, and some of the most humble and friendly Croatians we've met yet.

Speaking of friendly Croatians, don't miss the chance to lunch at Martinovik Bay. A humble family-run seafood restaurant in its own private bay.  A peaceful paradise for a lazy afternoon of seafood delights and working on your tan, before heading to meet the fleet and starting the party.

3. Hike, dip, swim, sail, repeat

Run/hike/kayak/swim/bike off your hangover. Being active is by far the best way to explore all the destinations we venture to have to offer. Mljet National Park is unique and offers amazing opportunities to do just that. Its saltwater lakes are not to be missed. Hire a bike to cycle around them, kayak across them, or hike to one of the island's highest peaks, Montokuc, and see them from above!

Special guest appearance, unique to the Dubrovnik Route, will be our very own water sports rib following the fleet! Watch this space, more info coming soon.

4.  Mountain backdrops to make your eyes pop

Split, we love you, but there's nothing that can compare to sailing against the backdrop of southern Croatia's Dinaric Alps. It is truly breathtaking.

The Dinaric Alps line the coast from Italy to Albania but the stretch in southern Croatia is one of the most dramatic. The sheer beauty of it is surreal. We're not kidding, you have to see it to believe it.

5. Private island party

Experience a unique TYW day party situated on its very own private island, just off the coast of Korcula. The green lush island of Stupe is home to Moro Beach club with an incredible restaurant and beach bar. Sip cocktails on the white pebbled beach with crystal blue waters, and let TYW resident DJs take care of the rest.

There you have it. Don't take our word for it. Take Helen's! Our Dubrovnik route is a quintessential TYW venture welcoming those in search of a different side of Croatia. Book now and sail somewhere new!
