Senior Brand Manager, The Ski Week

Role

We are looking for a driven senior brand manager with an entrepreneurial mind. You will be responsible to lead the expansion of The Ski Week with the ambitious goal of doubling the number of guests in 3 years time. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Sales and Marketing you will be the owner of The Ski Week brand and communications strategy from design to execution. This role is very hands-on and we are looking for someone who thrives under the pressure of delivering tangible results.

After launching four years ago we are now ready for the next phase, to grow The Ski Week and become the best ski festival on the market. You'll do this through a mix of excellent online marketing skills, strategic partnerships and nurturing our existing global community.

The Ski Week is closely related to The Yacht Week and you'll become a main player in the S&M team that cover both brands. Your main focus will be TSW but the whole team is working across both brands so you'll naturally get involved in TYW activations as well.

We are looking for someone with minimum 3 years experience within marketing and a track record of delivering high results. You are organized and used to manage yourself and others. You must have a strong interest in travel and skiing. Your base will be in London but expect to spend much time on the road.

Responsibilities

  • Design and launch new overarching communications strategy for TSW
  • Assume responsibility to grow TSW and achieve high sales targets
  • Devise strategies to drive online traffic to the website
  • Address new markets to keep a multinational and diverse crowd at our events
  • Manage online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness
  • Improve usability, track conversion rates and identify areas that need improvement on the website
  • Evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points
  • Ski/Snowboard at our events

 

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for traveling
  • 3 years experience within marketing
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant area
  • Experience using platforms such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills

Senior Marketing Analyst

Role

We are looking for an aspiring marketing superstar with an analytical mind to join our growing sales and marketing team at our head office in London, UK. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing (HoSM) you will be involved in researching and executing the overarching communications strategy across the brand portfolio. Your most important tasks will include performing both quantitative and qualitative analysis to guide decision making as well as supporting the HoSM with building presentations to the MD and the board.

This role will be primarily analytical. We are looking for somebody who is not afraid to get their hands dirty in a spreadsheet or to number crunch under pressure. At the same time, you will form part of an entrepreneurial and creative team where flexibility, versatility and problem-solving abilities are highly valued. Most importantly, the core of what we do is providing people from all over the world with unique and curated travel experiences that foster relationships and exploration. We are looking for someone who genuinely share these values of openness and adventure.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for measurement and reporting of all sales and marketing KPI
  • Conduct research to keep the company at the forefront of developments in community building
  • Carrying out research and data collection, conducting analysis and extracting qualitative insights and translate into succinct proposals and presentations

  • Designing experiments, trials or surveys to produce required data for analysis
  • Design and implement processes for effective budgeting, forecasting and pipeline management
  • Map out full consumer journey online and offline and come with adequate recommendations

Event Finance Intern


Role

We are looking for an Event Finance Intern to assist the Finance team during the busy summer season. As Event Finance Intern you will handle many finance related tasks during the season together with the Finance Assistant. You will have access to parts of the event budget to oversee and have the opportunity to give advice for improvement throughout the event. You will be responsible for handling receipts, expense reports and safe management of cash on a daily basis, as well as working closely with the event team. Most of your time will be spent in the office at the marina in Split, but you will have a chance to see the wonderful sites that Croatia and TYW have to offer.

 

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping
  • Management of event budget
  • Undertaking expense reports
  • Safe management of cash

 

Requirements

  • Able to work for at least 16 weeks (end of May – mid-September)

  • Reliable
  • Experience with bookkeeping and budget maintenance
  • Preferably from an accounting background (either as a result of studies or previous jobs)
  • A multi-tasker, capable to think on their feet
  • Outgoing; able to interact with fellow workers

  • Someone who likes numbers and excel spreadsheets more than long party nights

Work environment

Commercial Intern


Role

We are looking for a Commercial Intern to assist the Commercial Manager and Customer Service Team during the busy summer months. The person must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. The role will be diverse and expose the individual to all aspects of supplier dealings, from speaking directly to multinational charter companies to identifying opportunities for negotiation and competitor analysis. There will also be the chance to travel to one or more of TYW destinations for short periods. The internship period is 2nd May to 18th August 2017.

 

Responsibilities

  • Undertake a weekly booking check with all charter companies; confirming yacht names, capacity, deposit amount and features are correct prior to departure
  • Work with Customer Service Team to manage incoming client enquiries
  • Assist clients in collating and populating crew lists
  • Manage collection of skipper licences for charter companies
  • Monitor and update yacht damage log
  • Assist Head of Operations in populating weekly KPI reports
  • Assist Commercial Manager in monitoring and sourcing additional yacht supply
  • Undertake regular competitor analysis and suggest improvements to product and pricing

 

Requirements

  • Educated to A level or equivalent
  • A thorough working knowledge of Excel 
  • Candidates with mathematical qualifications are preferred
  • English as a fluent language
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom
  • A team player, willing to engage in TYW's unique social environment
