Catch up with the Collective showcases the unique experiences of some of our favourite people - including guests, hosts and skippers. In their own words.
For this edition, we’re chatting to Liv, host extraordinaire, about how she felt a sudden, unexpected calling to join Yacht Week.

"I wanted to set myself a unique challenge before settling into my passion for teaching.
When I saw an advert for the Yacht Week Academy (Quarterdeck) on my Instagram, I knew what that challenge would be. The open ocean, surrounded by new people, music and immaculate vibes.
Before I knew it, I had successfully trained to become a host with Yacht Week, and was sailing across the Mediterranean, looking after guests.
That meant putting together hand-crafted meals, paying attention to dietary needs, making desserts in the middle of the ocean and helping guests learn more about their new surroundings."

"Being a host at Yacht Week has been a life-changing experience. It has transformed my view on travel, work, and friendships.
I've had the privilege of building incredible relationships with guests, creating unforgettable memories aboard our stunning yachts. From savouring delicious meals together to exploring the breathtaking islands of Greece and Croatia, every moment was filled with adventure, and tequila shots (mostly)."

"This journey has shown me the true beauty of human connection and the power of shared experiences.
If that’s something you value, I can’t tell you how essential this will be for you. My life is permanently on a brighter, better and more exciting path all because I said yes to working with Yacht Week!"
