A Yacht Week Croatia trip is incomplete if we don’t visit Lola. This is a konoba and bar on the island of Vis that serves grilled octopus, patatas bravas, and croquettes you’d swim an entire ocean for.

You won’t find the place listed in our itinerary. No booked events here. But our guests confirm, one lunch or dinner at Lola isn’t enough. You’d want to keep coming back.
Lola is family-owned and operated. The place is named after the daughter of husband and wife team Ivica and Puri, old friends of Yacht Week’s founders. They’ve hosted our hungry crew every time we sail into Vis.
Lola specialises in Dalmatian–Mediterranean fusion dishes, or what we simply call “food that puts Vis on the culinary map.” Their central garden sets the vibe. Once you smell the food, you get excited.
Imagine fresh off the grill octopus that’s smoky, slightly sweet and flavoured with Mediterranean herbs. The patatas bravas are properly crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside, topped with a rich, mildly spicy tomato-based sauce. The croquettes are umami-rich and absolutely addicting. We’d love it if we could sail back here every day of the week just to eat…
Don’t take our word for it. Guests have spoken praises for Lola:
A hidden gem - lovely bar and cocktails in a twinkly walled garden – Abbey
There was nothing not to love. Such a beautiful spot for a drink or food or both. Thank you – Glenn
I would highly recommend this place, we had drinks and food, it was amazing. The service is wonderful. – Chiara

If you can pull away from Lola’s food for a few hours, sample the other attractions of Vis. The island is dubbed an unspoiled “slice of heaven.” It is the furthest inhabited island of the Adriatic Sea and was a restricted military base until 1991, which helped preserve its natural attractions.
Hire a scooter to drive around. Visit the island’s stunning beaches and quaint fishing villages. Don’t miss the secluded Stiniva Cove, Tito’s Cave, and the British military tunnel. Sip on wines made from the local Vugava grape. Pair it with fresh-caught local seafood, especially those from the village of Komiža.
Vis is a hidden gem, an exciting island stop in your Yacht Week Croatia trip. And Lola is a culinary icon you need to try at least once while you're there.
