As Event Manager, you are the centre of Yacht Week operations. You manage all official events and ensure they meet the highest standards.
This is a paid position suited to persons with a background in event production, live operations, or hospitality management. You need to be confident working in fast-paced, international environments.
As a Yacht Week Event Manager, you will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering official Yacht Week events throughout the week.
You will lead the event crew members on the ground and work closely with hosts, skippers, venue partners, and central operations to ensure smooth execution, guest safety and a consistently high-quality experience.
The role requires hands-on involvement across all stages of event delivery, from preparation and setup to live operations and post-event wrap-up.
You will act as the main point of contact between Yacht Week, local partners, and on-site teams, handling communication, logistics and problem-solving as needed.
You are expected to lead by example, remain calm under pressure, and make operational decisions in real time. Professional conduct, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work long days are essential.
Working at Yacht Week requires a high level of responsibility, flexibility, and leadership. Days are long and environments are dynamic. You are expected to take ownership, support your crew, and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the sailing week.

Yacht Week typically runs from Saturday to Friday. Saturday focuses on arrivals, briefings and preparation. Sunday through Thursday include sailing logistics, beach clubs and night events. Friday concludes with final events and departures. The exact schedule of events vary depending on location and operational requirements.
Event Managers / Guest Experience Managers lead productions in a variety of venues, depending on destination. These include beach clubs, open-air island locations, sailing routes, and partner venues in Croatia, Greece, Italy and other Yacht Week destinations. Exact venues vary per week.

You sail with the rest of the team. Accommodation is provided on a sailing yacht in a shared double or bunk bed cabin. All meals during the week are included, as well as drinks at official venues. Event Managers will also receive official Yacht Week merchandise.
This is a paid position. You also get a fixed amount to cover your travel expenses.
Depending on the destination, Event Managers/ Guest Experience Managers should travel to the appropriate arrival airport through their own means.
