1.1This Cookie Policy explains how Day 8 AB, a company registered in Sweden with organisation number 556765-8769 and registered address at Beckholmsvägen 4, 115 21 Stockholm, Sweden, trading as Yacht Week, uses cookies and similar technologies on theyachtweek.com and in the Yacht Week app.
1.2It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
1.3You can contact us at hello@yachtweek.com.
2.1A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage and device identifiers. In this policy we refer to all of them as cookies.
2.2First-party cookies are set by us. Third-party cookies are set by another organisation whose service we use, for example an analytics or advertising provider.
2.3Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them.
3.1Strictly necessary cookies. These are needed for the site to work, for example to keep you signed in, to remember what is in your booking, to route your session, and to keep the site secure. They cannot be switched off. We do not need your consent for these.
3.2Functional cookies. These remember choices you make, such as your language, currency or display preferences. Without them some features may not work as expected.
3.3Analytics cookies. These help us understand how the site is used, which pages are visited, and where problems occur, so we can improve it.
3.4Marketing cookies. These are used to measure how our advertising performs and to show you content that is more relevant to you, including on social media platforms. They may be set by advertising partners and may be used to build a profile of your interests.
4.1We set strictly necessary cookies as soon as you arrive. We set functional, analytics and marketing cookies only where you have given consent through our cookie banner.
4.2You can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose by category. Rejecting non-essential cookies will not stop you from browsing or booking.
4.3You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings link on our site. Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies already set before you withdrew it, and you can clear those through your browser.
4.4We ask for your consent again periodically, and whenever we make a material change to the cookies we use.
5.1The table below lists the cookies currently in use on theyachtweek.com.
| Cookie name | Provider | Category | What it does | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| — | — | Strictly necessary | — | — |
| — | — | Functional | — | — |
| — | — | Analytics | — | — |
| — | — | Marketing | — | — |
5.2We review this list periodically. If you believe a cookie is in use that is not listed here, please tell us at hello@yachtweek.com.
6.1Some cookies are set by third parties whose services we use. Where that happens, those third parties may process information about your visit under their own privacy information, and in some cases as independent controllers in their own right.
6.2Where we send data to an advertising platform to measure the performance of our advertising, personal identifiers are hashed before sending.
6.3The identity of each third-party provider is shown in the table in section 5.
7.1In addition to our cookie settings, most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and warn you before one is set. The method differs by browser, and the help section of your browser will explain it.
7.2Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will stop parts of the site from working, including signing in and booking.
8.1The app does not use browser cookies, but it uses similar technologies including local storage and device identifiers to keep you signed in, deliver notifications, and understand how the app is used.
8.2You can manage app permissions, including notifications, through your device settings.
9.1We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
10.1If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at hello@yachtweek.com.
10.2You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead supervisory authority is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY), Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, Sweden, imy@imy.se, imy.se. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
