Swedish House Mafia
Top of the bill was this legendary electronic supergroup. Made up of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastien Ingrosso, they are the world's most successful progressive house group, having dominated the charts since they first formed in 2008. This was an especially exciting headliner for Ultra Europe festival last year as the group had only recently reformed in March 2018 (after a 5-year hiatus), by playing a surprise set at Ultra's flagship festival in Miami. Their Ultra Europe 2019 set highlights included their Tinie Tempah banger Miami 2 Ibiza plus an incredible mashup of Stairway To Heaven vs. Don't You Worry Child vs. Sun Is Shining.
The chart-topping and Grammy Award-winning duo, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, had their breakthrough in 2014 with the catchy tune #Selfie. They have since collaborated on hits with the likes of Halsey and Coldplay, in addition to becoming one of the hottest EDM DJ duos to come out of the USA. They played an epic set at Ultra Europe 2019, mixing 80+ tunes for an enormous crowd of revellers including their hits Call You Mine with Bebe Rexha and Who Do You Love with 5 Seconds of Summer.
This dance music pioneer has been setting the standard for DJs around the world since he started on the British rave scene in the late 80s. Since then he has had both Top 30 and underground hits, benchmark-setting albums, his own record label and a legendary Ibiza residency every summer since 2001. He is also a huge ambassador for the Ultra music festivals, having hosted his own Carl Cox & Friends stage at the Miami festival since 2004. He played a banging set at Ultra Europe 2019, including a host of new tracks like the Agent Orange DJ & Alexander Technique rework of Sume Sigh Sey by Todd Terry's House Of Gypsies.
One of the most exciting headline acts from the Ultra Europe lineup 2019 was this Candian DJ and electronic music producer. A relative newcomer to the EDM scene, REZZ has quickly built a cult-like following for her darkly hypnotic beats since she began releasing tracks in 2015. Since then, her work has grabbed the attention of the likes of Deadmau5 and Skrillex, who have introduced REZZ to an ever-growing fanbase and, in turn, propelled her to the top of lineups for major festivals like this one. REZZ played a killer set at Ultra Europe 2019, complete with her iconically trippy goggles, and included a mix with some of her own tracks like Purple Gusher and Spider On The Moon.
