Komiža, dolphins, and dinner at a 19th-century fort
Schön! sent writer Shama Nasinde to sail Yacht Week's Croatia route for its 20th-anniversary summer, and came back with something closer to a field guide than a recap: what to do on board, what to see on land, and where to eat, built from a week actually spent on the water.

The piece splits into three parts. What To Do covers life between stops: swim breaks with paddle boards and group floats at the coast's natural bays, then themed parties on land, this year a "Riviera chic" day party and a "golden era" sunset party, alongside a regatta where crews race and compete for the best team costume, prize included.
What To See centres on Vis, known to film fans as the filming location for Mamma Mia 2. Nasinde recommends walking or hiring a scooter around Komiža, the island's seaside town, and its beaches, small, uncrowded, and clear enough that dolphins are a regular, not rare, sight.
Where To Eat & Drink lands on dinner at Fort George in Vis, a Mediterranean menu built for sharing before the fort's rooftop sunset party takes over, plus a nod to Croatia's wine culture and the wine caves worth escaping the heat for.
Photography from Peter Cordova and Noelle Hamoen included, worth seeing as much as reading.
