DAY 7: Rock the Boat

Yacht Week

For The Yacht Week boats and skippers are just as big as a must as music and DJ's. The skippers control the boat and the DJ's control the music and the energy of the crowd. After all, it is the music of the up-and-coming DJ's at TYW that will pull you towards the most animated parties you will have ever attended... During the day, your skipper may plug in his iPod with some mellow tunes while peacefully sailing from one spot to the next... waking up to find yourself parked next to 70 other boats blasting everything from house to reggae, or Swedish rock.  Depending on what it is, music is a philosophy of life at TYW.  Most times the “pumping up” for the parties begins within the boat, just with the positive attitude and good taste in music of the skipper.  What do our trainees think?

From some of our very own skippers' iPods... what really keeps them pumped up for the 4:00 night sails
